So my friend Valerie, who owns Vintage Flea next door to me, really thinks I need to blog about my store. Well, I am kind of new to this, and I think my strength may be in story telling. So, I thought I would share funny, anecdotal things that happen to me. I have 3 really good stories, but I am just going to share the first one for now.

I have a regular customer, Lil, who is bipolar. I will call her a customer, but that is usually a term used for people who purchase often. Well, she has bought one thing from me, that she has since returned, more on that later. Anyway, on Halloween, of all days. I am sitting in my perch at my store, and I look out the window, and see a county sheriff car backing into traffic and hitting a car. I am intrigued immediately. I look over, and Lil, is getting out of the back of the Sheriff's car. She is screaming at the sheriff calling him a stupid mother fucker(sorry for the language). He proceeds to walk into the street to stop traffic for her, so she can cross the street and march straight into my store, while still screaming you mother fucker.(sorry again)

She comes in and tells me she would like to return the thing she purchased from me months ago, for cash, so she can buy some food so she can take her medicine. She tells me she is bipolar(no shit sherlock) and that she has to have food to take her medicine. I give her 10.00 to go get food. At no point, does the sheriff come in to see if I am okay. (My 22 year old male employee is hiding in the bathroom at this point, what a pusscake he is) Even my 20 year old beautiful daughter, would have been right up front for this show.

At this point, the sheriff is around the corner with another sheriff trying to make up the story he is going to tell his boss about how he got in this accident in the city limits. I go around and ask him what he was thinking bringing her to my store. He told me he was removing her from a domestic situation, and she specifically said she wanted to go to Two Turtle Doves(Yay, lucky me). So he just drove her right here. Didn't get her food so she could take her medicine before he drops her in a public place. I have since placed a call to the Actual Sheriff, who didn't know anything about one of his deputies being involved in an accident. He has been trying to verify the story for a week now, and hasn't gotten back to me :)

More stories about Lil to come in the following days!!!
